What’s happening at the CrossFit Games?
The Athletes were given little warning on the night before the CrossFit Games were set to kick off. Provided with a list of items to pack and a wake up time.

The Athletes met at 3.30am in the hotel lobby and were informed they would be boarding a plane.

Hours later, they arrived in Aromas California home of the inaugural CrossFit Games. 10 years prior in 2007.

As the athletes gather, Dave Castro starts to announce what the events will actually be.
It’s a trail run! Taking it back to the 2009 CrossFit Games, Event 1 is a 7km trial run.

After the trial run, Athletes will compete in the Deadlift Ladder. But this year, for the men the deadlifts will go up to 615lb or 279kg.
The weight has increased this year, Dave Castro ensuring the 2016 CrossFit Games will be more challenging than back in 2009.

There will be 10 minutes between the two events. This means, the first athlete finished with the run will have the most rest time. The last place finisher in the run will go first in the deadlift.
