Originally from New Zealand, Jamie Greene is very familiar with The CrossFit Games. After her first CrossFit Open in 2014 where she competed in the Australian Regional, she relocated to Abu Dhabi to take a job as a coach at CrossFit Yas. As part of it’s 3rd place finishing team at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games, she knows how it feels to stand atop the podium after competing on the biggest stage of the sport.

This year, she has given herself a new challenge.
The former gymnastics and rugby player is proving to have the intensity, endurance, and skills it takes to compete as an individual athlete. She made a name for herself after winning the 2016 CrossFit Open and is continuing to do so after her Individual rookie debut at the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games.
Heading into the second day of competition, Greene sits in 3rd place with 242 points behind Tia-Clair Toomey and Sam Briggs who are tied for the lead with 262 points each. So far, Greene’s lowest finish has been 11th place in Event 2, Cyclocross, which she answered with an impressive 1st place finish in Event 3, Amanda .45, almost seven seconds ahead of second place finisher Toomey. It was a hard earned fight as the leaderboard for Event 3, Heat 4 consistently moved between Greene, Toomey, and Briggs.
