As if pistol squats and Turkish get-ups weren’t hard enough by themselves, a new CrossFit movement has taken over social media: pistol Turkish get-ups, a mash-up of the two movements that ends up looking like a one-legged Turkish get-up. They’ve been made popular by Sean Velas, and are likely a great exercise to improve coordination, balance, ankle mobility and core strength.

Remember to master a basic pistol first and to keep your balance using your free arm. Moving forward, start working with light weights.
