Dear friend,
Life has been so hectic lately, and we’ve all been scrambling to make things work. But we wanted to take a moment to stop and check in with you.
How are you? How are you feeling? Are you doing okay?
We know coronavirus has hit all of us pretty hard. A lot of businesses have shut down and people are out of work. Some of you might be wondering where your next rent payment is going to come from, how you’ll buy groceries, how you’ll keep your insurance.
Maybe you’re feeling a little hopeless, and your motivation to do anything has taken a serious hit.
You’re trying to be strong. Maybe you have people depending on you to keep it all together. But we want to remind you: It’s okay to feel scared, sad, angry. None of us have ever experienced anything like this before, and it’s gut-wrenching.
Your feelings are valid. Give yourself the space and grace you need to get through this.
But remember just that: We will get through this. If there’s one thing our community is good at, it’s coming together in times of adversity and pushing through every obstacle that comes our way.
It’s facing discomfort and uncertainty head on — embracing it, even — and then demolishing it completely.
Throughout your health and fitness journey, we’re going to guess that you’ve had to venture far outside your comfort zone. You’ve had to do things that your mind or body were resisting. And you did them anyway, because that’s where growth comes — from pushing through the unknown.
So, that’s what we’re going to do now. We’re going to come together and push through the unknown.
Even though we’re scared, even though we don’t know what’s going to happen in the coming weeks and months, we’re a team. We’re in this together, and that’s how we’ll prevail: as a community.
We’re still here for you. Your local affiliate might be closed, and you probably miss your friends and training routine. But you’re not in this alone.
Stay home. Stay safe. This will all be over soon, and you’ll come back stronger than ever.
Sincerely,
Your friends at The WOD Life
