If you’re the average human being and you tear your meniscus, you take time to rest before hitting the gym again. If you’re Rich Froning and you tear your meniscus, you suck it up, keep training and then compete at Regionals a week later.
That was one detail Froning shared during his new podcast, Froning and Friends. He was talking about CrossFit Mayhem’s trip to the Regionals and Games, and revealed the injury he was dealing with leading up to the former of the two.
Froning kept fairly quiet about it at the time, minimized some parts of his training leading up to the Games and kept on chugging. Did you have any idea he was competing on an injured knee? Us either.
