Everyone was bummed to see Sara Sigmundsdottir withdraw from the Games after the event Chaos. Earlier in August, she shared via Instagram that she had injured a rib. In her latest Instagram post, she posted the details: an MRI confirmed her ninth rib is broken.
Sound familiar? It happened to her last year, too.
When life brings you lemons ? you buy a Super Nintendo! _ Today I got an MRI and a dreaded confirmation that my 9th rib is in fact broken. The good news are that it is healing nicely and I might be only 4-6 more weeks from being able to resume 100% training. Until then, don´t worry about me. I´ve got a Nintendo and Super Mario? _ Thank you all for the kind messages and support. I sincerely appreciate it?? _ _ _ #Lemons #Nintendo #SuperMario #IllBeBack _ _ _ _ @NikeTraining #NikeTraining #JustDoIt @FitAID #teamFitAID #FitAID #RYouRogue #RogueFitness @CompexUSA #CompexUSA #MuscleStim @FatGripz #FatGripz @WaterOfChampions #WaterOfChampions #IcelandPureSpringWater #SupernaturalRecovery @Lysi.life @Lysi_US #LysiLife @Sjukrasport @Sportvorur #Sportvorur @BaklandMgmt #BaklandMgmt #CFSudurnes @CrossfitGames @Crossfit
You’ve got to hand it to her. The pain crept up Day 1 of the Games (Wednesday), and she didn’t withdraw until Saturday. Tough as nails, that girl.
Here’s to a speedy recovery!
