Rob Forte Invitational – Event Recap

Weren’t able to get down to the Australian Fitness Expo in Australia? Relive the magic from the Rob Forte Invitational with Event One.

Event One:  TEAM WOD – In Sync

For time: Male-Female | Male-Female – Pairs
32 DB Hang Snatches, 30kg (20kg)
12 Burpee DB Step Overs, 20”
24 Thrusters, 60kg (40kg)

Dumbbell Hang Snatch:
The DB hang snatch will be synchronised at the top of the movement- meaning that both athletes need to reach lock out at the same time. You must complete 8 repetitions with the dumbbell in your left hand then switch over the right hand for the next 8 repetitions. Continue to alternate hands every 8 repetitions until you reach 32 repetitions.

Burpee Dumbbell Box Step Overs:
The burpee DB step overs will be synchronised at the bottom of the burpee- meaning that both athletes must have their chest on the ground at the same time. This will include 2 x 30kg dumbbells for the men and 2 x 20kg dumbbells for the women.

Thrusters:
The thruster will be synchronised at the bottom of the squat and at full extension.

Event Two: The Need for Speed

For time: Male-Female-Male-Female
120 Clean & Jerks, 60kg (40kg)

Notes:
The first male will enter and complete 30 clean & jerks. Once he completes his 30 clean & jerks he will then move to finish and the first female will start her 30 clean & jerks. Once all team members complete 30 clean & jerks each in a male then female order their time will be recorded.

Event Three: Max Thruster

1RM Thruster (taken from the floor)

Each athlete will have 4 attempts, and 45 seconds for each attempt. There is only one athlete lifting at a time. Each athlete will lift every 90 seconds.
