What. A. Weekend! The Torian Pro didn’t disappoint, and we’re only bummed that it’s over. It was three days jam-packed with tight competition, mind-blowing events, and inspiring athletes, and The WOD Life was proud to sponsor it.

The official CrossFit Games Oceania semifinal event was nothing to scoff at, and the competitors left it all out on the floor. The Torian Pro threw them a reverse triathlon, Amanda, plenty of double-unders, heavy clean and jerks, and — oh yes — thrusters.
We expected no less. After all, we’re in the process of finding the fittest people on earth.
At the end of the weekend, only a select few could call themselves podium finishers. These athlete have now secured their ticket to the CrossFit Games.

This event drew a ton of big names, like Tia-Clair Toomey, Brooke Wells, Haley Adams, Justin Medeiros, Scott Panchik, Amanda Barnhart, and Team Mayhem Freedom (read: Rich Froning). At the end of the weekend, the top five men, women, and teams earned their spots to the Games:

The remaining eight Semifinals take place through June 20. Early July will bring us the last-chance qualifier, right before the end-all, be-all, The CrossFit Games, scheduled for July 27 through August 1.
The 2021 competitive season has brought us a very different format and set of events, but one thing has stayed consistent: the passion that we all have for this community. Athletes, judges, volunteers, crew members, and spectators came together in the name of fitness, and man, did they deliver. We can’t wait to see what the remaining Semifinals will bring.
Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed this past weekend, and good luck to everyone with a Semifinals event coming up!
