We knew it was always a possibility that the Games would get pushed again, considering the pandemic. Now, CrossFit has confirmed on their own site that there’s a new potential start day.

“The potential start date is now Sept. 14.”

Stay tuned.

With current events, we’re all having to adapt — and the same goes for CrossFit. They recently announced on Twitter that the soonest the Games will happen is August 17. For reference, it was supposed to happen July 29.

The Games are getting quite the makeover this season. Considering coronavirus, they had already announced that the event was going back to the Ranch in Aromas, California, which is where it all started. Furthermore, teams, age groups, and national champions were eliminated, reducing the group of competing athletes to just 60.

What’s more, they decided it wouldn’t be a public event.

All smart steps to take in our continued fight against the pandemic.

It looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to see some of the fittest compete.
